[Action/Accidental Video]
[So Kurt intially wakes up near the southern lake - in an immediate panic at the lack of clothes, even his uniform, or his image inducer. He only sees the book nearby. Curiously, he winds up peering into it and musing into it, unaware that it's recording this snippet.]
Doesn't look at all like the bayou... Where did they go? [He looks down into the book.] And where did this book come from? My name's on it. A gift from the Professor? Something about this book seems really weird... But I should try to find the others first.
[And so... this blue, fuzz demon will be teleporting around in acrid puffs of smoke, trying to stick to treetops and following the river towards the village. Every now and then, he stops just to take another look at the book. There's got to be something he's missing. And are those voices he hears from this weird book?
And as he arrives at the village, he may wind up accidentally teleporting into one of several houses. Something just seems a little off about his power here, you know? Hope this blue demon-looking guy doesn't catch you off-guard, with the dramatic smoke puffs that follow him. He could even wind up in the item or clothing shop before meeting anyone he knows.]

I... don't think we have any bayous around here, actually. Uh. There might be a swamp near the lake, maybe? I'm not exactly sure what qualifies as a bayou.
[action]
You know, I should have asked you this first. This may sound weird, but... are we in Louisiana?
[action]
Oh geez. No, this isn't Louisiana. Maybe you should sit down or something, because this... isn't even Earth.
[action]
Wait, what? How can this not be Earth? Are you telling me that out of the two of us, you're the alien?
[action]
I'm not an alien, I'm a mutant.
[action]
You too?
[action]
[His brows lift slightly - he should probably at least pretend to be surprised at Kurt's admission, himself. He holds his hand out, after a moment's pause.]
Billy Kaplan. Nice to meet you.
[action]
Kurt Wagner. The pleasure is mine. [And as he grips his hand, he gives a light smile.] Hope you don't mind the fuzz.
[action]
It's okay- I'm... kind of used to something similar, actually. At least it means your hands are warm.
[action]
Thanks. It definitely saves me a lot on gloves! [Except when he needs them to... you know, keep people from feeling his fuzz. This reminds him that his image inducer is still gone, and he feels naked.] So you are from Earth, right?
[action]
Yeah, I am- I grew up in New York. A lot of people around here are from Earth, actually. This is Luceti, and it's... kind of hard to explain. In a nutshell, though, we're stuck here.
[action]
[action]
[action]
We do? [He feels around where there was a soreness in his back... and he feels it. Wings. He waves his forked tail around as he continues.] You know, if I noticed only mine first, I'd have guessed whoever did this just had weird sense of humor.
[action]
I think maybe people would find them more interesting if we had a little more variety. All that's ever different about them is the colour.
[action]
Mine are blue, aren't they? [He doesn't even feel like looking for himself - he has a good feeling about his guess anyway.] But be careful what you wish for. You wouldn't want to wind up with butterfly wings or something.
[action]
[It's a very blue bench, apparently, since Billy's are as well. At his last comment, though, his smile shifts somewhat secretively.]
And don't worry, I'm always careful about what I wish for.
[action]
I'm glad for that. [He's not sure what to make of that shift for his smile. But might as well ask one question that eluded him in these weirdness.] But, about these wings... Is there any particular reason we suddenly have them? Whatever this Luceti place is, this definitely isn't the wing quality I'd expect of Heaven.
[action]
[Isn't he nice and reassuring, Kurt?]
[action]
What? A... draft? And lab rats? You've gotta be kidding.
[action]
[His tone might be enough to imply just how much of an understatement that is.]
[action]
I'm sorry. But... How are we forced into these things? Who's responsible?
[action]
[He fishes around for a moment, pulling his own out of a bookbag beside him.]
Have you got one of these?
[action]
[He raises his own.]
Does that mean, this book's part of this place too?
