[So Kurt intially wakes up near the southern lake - in an immediate panic at the lack of clothes, even his uniform, or his image inducer. He only sees the book nearby. Curiously, he winds up peering into it and musing into it, unaware that it's recording this snippet.]

Doesn't look at all like the bayou... Where did they go? [He looks down into the book.] And where did this book come from? My name's on it. A gift from the Professor? Something about this book seems really weird... But I should try to find the others first.

[And so... this blue, fuzz demon will be teleporting around in acrid puffs of smoke, trying to stick to treetops and following the river towards the village. Every now and then, he stops just to take another look at the book. There's got to be something he's missing. And are those voices he hears from this weird book?

And as he arrives at the village, he may wind up accidentally teleporting into one of several houses. Something just seems a little off about his power here, you know? Hope this blue demon-looking guy doesn't catch you off-guard, with the dramatic smoke puffs that follow him. He could even wind up in the item or clothing shop before meeting anyone he knows.]

Why, do you think should I live here instead? It should be good for a sitcom. Iron Man and The Fuzz.

I don't think the girlfriend would approve of your crumminess. Suppose you'll just have to be an occasional guest star on my show.

You have a girlfriend? [He wipes at his face.] I could be okay with special guest star.

No, I just said it so you'd be impressed. [Nightcrawler plz.] I'll pencil you in. Next season, maybe.

When your ratings need that boost, of course. But how about filling me in on last season? Anything The Fuzz should know to be all caught up?

[Oh, sure, there was probably plenty he could fill him in on. But if Rogue felt like telling him any of those particulars, he'd leave that up to her. Things typically were on a need-to-know basis with Tony, and he didn't think Kurt needed to know.]

I'm the best superhero in Luceti, for one. Oh - and there will probably be plenty of people who recognize you. Not just from your last stay here, but from alternate versions of you in their worlds. Creepy, I know. But you get used to it.

Alternate... versions of me? What, like an evil me with a goatee? This is starting to sound more like some bad comic.

It's positively soap opera, if you ask me. [And that's coming from a guy who's 'evil twin' really was a jackass, apparently.]

And I thought life back home was enough "Days of our Mutants" already. [With the villain who turned out to be his mom, and friend who turned out to be his sister through adoption. Well, at least neither of them started as his fiancee.]

[Yeah, he...knows a lot more about that than he's going to let on. So he just shrugs.] Well? Whether you remember it or not - welcome back. Your life is about to take a turn for the weirder.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be trying my best to see the plot twists coming. But it's been good to meet you too, Tony. For the... second time, I guess. Not everyone would spare a Pop-Tart for someone like me.

[He also knows what he means by that.] Well - that's one good thing about this place. One of the few, I might add. Plenty of people from extremely different places.

A real melting pot, huh? You didn't even make a fuss when I used the m-word. But I doubt everyone else in this place will be as welcoming as you are.

I'll have to take that bet. Somehow, I have trouble believing this place takes only the best of humanity's crop.

Right, right, I'm sure someone mentioned the money thing already. But fine, we'll go with the poptarts. And in a few months, whatever this place has instead of a news team can do a shocking expose on the rise of underground pop-tart gambling rings.

I'll have you know I'm pretty good at keeping secrets. After all, I gotta keep all this covered up. [He says as he points to his face. ...As if he hasn't changed in the middle of a high school hallway all the time.] You're the one who told me your superhero name right away! Isn't that supposed to be a secret identity?

Maybe for boring heroes. [Not that he's naming names or anything.] That's never really been my style. Everyone knows who Iron Man is: me. What can I say? I love the credit.

[He feels like he should be annoyed at his arrogance. But he finds himself to be... admiring it in a way. To be that bold, that proud of yourself, to do good without hiding from it. Even if he didn't have as obvious reasons to hide as Kurt.]

Y'know, Tony, I might be starting to see why someone like you might admire someone like me. Sometimes I think I could use a pride that swollen.

Reverse that, and you're on the right track. [It's okay, Kurt. You can be in awe of his wondrous ability to talk big about himself.] I'd say I'd teach you, but it's one of those 'learn for yourself' things - that, and I you couldn't afford me.
