[So Kurt intially wakes up near the southern lake - in an immediate panic at the lack of clothes, even his uniform, or his image inducer. He only sees the book nearby. Curiously, he winds up peering into it and musing into it, unaware that it's recording this snippet.]

Doesn't look at all like the bayou... Where did they go? [He looks down into the book.] And where did this book come from? My name's on it. A gift from the Professor? Something about this book seems really weird... But I should try to find the others first.

[And so... this blue, fuzz demon will be teleporting around in acrid puffs of smoke, trying to stick to treetops and following the river towards the village. Every now and then, he stops just to take another look at the book. There's got to be something he's missing. And are those voices he hears from this weird book?

And as he arrives at the village, he may wind up accidentally teleporting into one of several houses. Something just seems a little off about his power here, you know? Hope this blue demon-looking guy doesn't catch you off-guard, with the dramatic smoke puffs that follow him. He could even wind up in the item or clothing shop before meeting anyone he knows.]

[Even if his old man was here and causing trouble like he always does, Gambit sure as hell doesn't want to put Rogue in harm's way again if he can help it.]

[Kurt makes a horrible attempt at being stern.]

[Kurt don't even try to be stern, it's only making him entirely too entertained. But he squashes that down as best he can.]

Hate to rain on the parade, but I ain't exactly the Genie of the Journal. T'ink of this as an oversized cell phone.

An' your stuff's prob'ly in the shops in town. Turns up there when we get here. Rogue can prob'ly help you find your stuff; she runs one'a the shops.

Some kinda... book-phone? That's... kind cool, actually! [He quickly remembers to be mad at Gambit.] I just wish it left me with a better contact list.

I don't get any of this. But... Rogue's there?

[He will let that insult slide. Just this once. Count yourself lucky, Kurt.]

Try the Item Shop, homme. Oughta be there. [It isn't three yet, after all. Girl runs like clockwork.] An' I'm sure you ain't gonna believe half the stuff 'bout this place comin' outta my mouth, but Rogue'll prob'ly explain all that for you anyway. Let's jus' say you ain't in Kansas anymore.

I'm starting to get the idea already. For one, we haven't exactly been the best of conversationalists before I opened this book.

So she'll be at an... Item Shop? Man, this is starting to sound like something out of a video game. [He's really not sure if he should consider that a good thing or bad.]

True. [He really can't hold Kurt's suspicion against him. Especially considering he's just come back from the bayou. So he lets it slide on past.]
