Seventh Bamf [Backdated to the 22nd]

[Kurt finds himself wandering through the forest in the direction of the plaza. He's just woken up there after spending a few days over a week in the cliutches of the Malnosso. Sure, he's a teleporter, but he knows what happens when once is kidnapped, so he's being careful. He doesn't want to risk his power backfiring in some way, after all.

But he soon finds a very different effect in place: at one point, he trips and goes headlong towards a tree... and then through it. He takes a moment to wonder whether or not he hallucinated, but it soon proves not to be. Taking a moment to turn on his image inducer at least to induce his human-like appearance, he tries to make his way around town to check in on people now that he's back - the item shop, the coffee shop, House 16 and possibly the clinic (if he can't find Mia at the house). But along the way, at random, uncontrollable points, this effect kicks in, and he will start to "phase" through something he's touching. In many cases, it will result in him dropping drinks or some breakable items. He could also find himself "falling" through walls and floors. Feel free to catch him right as he's phased, or not - he'll wind up doing it eventually anyway]

[And eventually he tries addressing the journals - holding his own book firmly, as if that will ensure that he'll be able to hold onto it. And he's still human-looking as he does so.]

It's me, Kurt. Just letting anyone know that I'm back in town again. You won't believe wha-

[And then his image is shrinking quickly... because his hands have phased through the journal, and now it's falling down to the ground, where it captures the ceiling. Kurt moans.]

Oh man, not again!

Suki! [He feels so, so glad to hear her voice and see her face again. As he leans over to look down at the book.] I'm fine! Just... a little problem, that's all!

[Mia is rarely home during a daytime hour. Today is an exception. She's headed for the door when she sees a hand come through it, before it actually opens and reveals-]

Kurt! [They always meet this way.] You're back.

[He calls out with a sheepish smile as the door opens... and he hopes she missed that little phasing. He raises a hand in a wave.]

I'm back.

[He looks all right. The X-men must get tired of her asking after their health all the time, so she keeps her mouth shut while she peers around him at the doorway.]

[Wanda has finally started venturing out of her apartment, settling in to this new life. It's still pretty weird, but being a mutant witch, Wanda can handle weird. It's the "alone" factor that's starting to get to her. Sure, she spent most of her time alone back home, but there was always that knowledge that her brother was right there, if she needed him.

This loneliness has Wanda finding excuses to leave the house. She doesn't NEED excuses, but she feels like she should have them. Today, she's on her way to the item shop, when she spots someone vaguely familiar. It takes her a minute to recognize Kurt in his less-fuzzy form, but eventually, she does.]

...Kurt!

[She says his name louder than she meant to, excited to see him, and raising a hand to wave, before realizing how stupid that must look, and drawing it back into her chest. ]

[He's on his way there as well, to try to find Rogue - and then he hears a different familiar voice. He turns over with a grin.]

Hey - Wanda!

H-hey. ... [Oh, christ, she is no good at socialization. She attempts a smile, which isn't too hard, as his own is somewhat infectious. Still, she feels awkward.]

I, ah... I wanted to thank you. ... For your help, the other day. You were... very kind.

[Give her a minute, she's still warming up her "social" engine, she'll have it running soon enough!]

[He gives the blankest of stares. Looks down towards the book, then back at her. Blinks.]

[That's new, right.] You... couldn't do that before, could you? [SHE STILL DOESN'T KNOW YOU THAT WELL.]

[Zatanna's on her way out of the coffee shop--hand on the door, even--when the sudden appearance of Kurt through what should be solid wood makes her take a step back in surprise.

She recovers quickly, though. It helps that he looks like of helpless when he falls on the ground.]

Gotta say, that's a pretty good trick.

[Kind of. But he regains his footing quickly and offers a sheepish smile.]

Why thank you. Now, if only I could know how I actually did it...

[The sound of a familiar voice caught her attention and drew her gaze back to the journal just in time to see things go... a little strange with Kurt's feed.]

Oh hey, Artemis. [He replies sheepishly.] You can say things slipped away from me there.

[When Kurt falls through the front door, Logan is standing inside, cup of coffee in hand, and looking mightily unimpressed.]

... looks like the Mallies did a number on ya.

[At least Logan's a sight for sore eyes. Kurt nervously turns around to make sure the door's closed before he turns back to Logan.]

You should see the other guy? [That's the best he can offer as he rubs at his hair nervously.]

[ It's hard adjusting to Kurt's new... condition, even after he'd had the time to settle back into House 16. He's slipping through walls and doors and - Ororo winces at the latest crash that she heard from her room - accidentally dropping various breakable objects left and right.

She steps into the kitchen, more worried than upset at the third broken plate in as many days. ]

Kurt? Are you alright?
